I have an NT 4.0 network (NT PDC/BDC’s) with some Netware servers. We’re removing the last 6 Novell Servers and, rather than putting in NT 4.0 replacements, we’re putting in Win2K servers (not domain controllers) in those offices.
Scenario: Office with 60 Win95/98 clients, single Win2K server, authenticating to an NT 4.0 BDC in another office over a routed TCP/IP WAN. Removed Netware Client with UNC32.exe software and all IPX. Now, many of the Win95/98 machines are getting Fatal Exception errors, with a number of those related to ifsmgr.dll and vredir.vxd when accessing files copied from old Novell server to new Win2K server.
Any ideas?
