Old Print server, NT4 sp 5,ran fine till hard drive crashed.
Purchased a new server, installed NT4 sp4 then applied sp 6a.Re-added all 60 printers with the same drivers. Started having problems with the Spooler hanging up.Edited registry to “UseNonRFCCompliantPorts” (above 1024 instead of only the original 10, 721-731)-No help
There is no monitoring software on the server.
All ports are LPR ports.
It seems as if one print job hangs in the spool and backs up all jobs to all other printers.
I’m starting to get some serious flack so if anybody has any ideas, I’d really appreciate it.
