I have a win NT 4.0 WS with SP6a that has a boot problem. If you boot the PC (PII 450-512M& 10G-HD) It will pass the post and it will hang just before nt boot.ini all we see is a cursor on the screen. If I put a boot disk with ntldr, boot.ini, ntdetect.com it will work and the user has no problems. I used ERD and all recovery tactics that I know and no bananas. Finally we reimage the HD. But every now and then I get the same in another PC.
