NT is a whole different animal

by McKayTech In reply to NT batch files

NT works quite differently than DOS or Windows environments that run on DOS and running an AUTOEXEC file is not part of it's startup routine.

If you can re-post with more specific information about what you're trying to do, chances are very good that someone will know of a workaround.

As one example, if your system partition is FAT-formatted, you might be able to boot into DOS, manipulate the system files via a batch file, then boot into NT. But it does depend on what you're trying to do.
