I am trying to set up winnt server on DELL Poweredge 4200 server on PERC1 Raid controller.
Have configured the first 2 disks as RAID1 and the remaining ones as RAID5. Manage to get partway
through the installation of NT onto RAID1, but for some reason not all of the NT files are loaded
so installation does not continue after the first reboot. To get round this, I installed NT onto an
internal SCSII disk, then mirrored this to the first disk on the controller. The first disk on the controller
now has a complete install of NT, but still fails to boot from it. I think i need to find some way
of including the PERC1 driver during the early stages of booting, but don’t know how to do this? Hope that
makes some sort of sense?
