I have a NT4 client work station which does not boot. I can boot it from a floppy, and NT runs fine. Someone suggested installing NT in a different directory, but the setup program does not recognize the SCSI hard disk. Can someone give me more info? I type “S” to load the driver from a floppy, and that looks like it’s working (it lists both the SCSI adapter and the IDE CD-ROM at that point), but when I try to continue, it tells me it didn’t find a hard disk.
My system is an Intergraph, with Symbios Logic PCI 53c895 controller which just has one IBM DNES-309170W disk attached. The C: drive is FAT, and D: is NTFS. Aside from not booting from the HD, everything works fine. BIOS looks ok to me, and the SCSI is recognized just fine duringsystem startup.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Meg.
