NT Disk I/O error

NT 4.0 SP4, ran SP4 once again now getting disk I/O error during bootup, wanting to run the ERD and run press "r" for repair. I did not create the ERD. Suggestions.

Try with the Old Configuration Backup in boot sequence. When the CRT displays "Press Space to..." press it, and use the "Old Configuration".

Did you create the uninstall for sp4?
Did you run the uninstall for sp4 prior to reapplying it?
Try running the uninstall, then reinstalling sp4.
You need to create the ERD when the system is running fine; otherwise the ERD procedure will not work. Your only answer will be reinstall the system and all your programs.

If you do find a ERD for your system, read the sp4 instructions BEFORE running the ERD - system changes between the system CD and sp4 can make the system not bootable!!Check the readme.txt on the sp4 cd.
