NT Domain Groups

By athars ·
How can I print or save the list of my NT4 domain, since it is very large? I know there is a way from DOS prompt to get the domain user listing but don't know how to get the group listing.

The command is <net group>.

You can redirect the output from the screen to a text file by adding >c:\group.txt after the command, i.e.

net group >c:\group.txt

This would send a listing of domain groups on your server to a file called "group.txt" located at the root of your c drive.

Domain Group Account listings can be sent to a Text file -
1. On your PDC goto C>
2. Type "net group > Akash.txt"
3. You'll have a text file ready with names of your Domain Groups, like -

Group Accounts for \\INDIASRV-01
----------------------------------------
*DelhiUsers *Domain Admins *DomainGuests
*Domain Users *LocalGroup-1 *LocalGroup-2

and so on.
