What is the maximum number of printers I can install on a Windows NT 4.0 server. Microsoft has told me 900, but I need to install 5,000. Something to do with registry size …
All 5,000 of my printers are the same, might there be a way to install one instance of the driver and provide a parameter that tells the driver the address of the printer I want to print to this time? These are all IP based printers but my application won’t allow me to use a command line LPR, I see to have to go through the Windows Print Service Engine.
