Nt Name Printing

I need to have a setup were my users names will appear at the bottom of a print job.I want to be able to enable and disable this feature.Any suggestions please.

If you use a (newer) PostScript driver, you can use overlays. One drawback of this method is that the overlay is an all or nothing proposition - all users or no users will print the overlay as you enable / disable it on the print server. But you can also print time, date, etc. and pick where on the page it will appear. Here is a help text description; you can decide if this will do what you want: Overlays tab
The options on this Overlays tab lets the administrator create and manage overlays and simple text. Overlays and simple text are templates that can be defined and then printed as a background on a form before the data from the current job is printed.
Overlays include company logos or letterheads, decorative borders,or simulated "preprinted" forms. Overlays can include text, graphics, or images.
Simple text prints a single line of text in the background of your document. The simple text feature does not require much memory and is always sent to the printer with your document, rath

The easiest way to identify users print jobs is to enable the "Seperator Page" Banner from within the selected printer objects properties menu item, this however generates a whole page with the users ID on it between every print job and kills hundreds of trees daily.
The upside, is that it is easily turned off when not necessary.
Beyond that, the first answer is excellent and efficient but the "Print Driver" must be capable of performing the overlay of this information (Most Drivers will not)
