NT SBS Boot Error

By gra ·
We have WT Small Business Server 4.5 with SP6.

The c: drive is NTFS (SBS must be NTFS boot) with 2 gig. The d: drive is NTFS 10 gig.

The server is a Dell Poweredge 2300 with a raid array.

The system was working fine.

Now when I reboot I get:
"PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
0x00000050 "

The system does a memory dump to memory.dmp and cycles for a reboot. I get the same error.

I CAN reboot into VGA mode, however. Everything seems to work.

I tried deleting and recreating the pagefile.sys file.

I tried restoring the files and registry from tape. Same problem.

Does anyone have any input?

thanks,
Glenn

Most common cause would be bad RAM.

I found two other causes...
1. bad marlett.ttf file
2. bad video drivers

I get no memory errors.
The PC reports that is it is using all memory fine.

Thanks for the thought, though

If everything seems to work fine in VGA mode, that would seem to implicate either the video card or the video driver.

My guess would be the video driver.

Sorry about my original query:
I found the error reports on video drivers and the marlett.ttf file.

Neither of those seem to be bad.
