Problem: The Unix box syslog is filling up with requests for a name to associate with the IP address of an NT box. I quieted that with an entry in the bootptab file.
However A sonicwall appliance is also logging requests: Message: UDP packet dropped. Notes: DHCP.
So there is still unnecessary and unwanted traffic on my network coming from the NT4.0 Terminal Server sp6 box. DHCP is not enabled.
Where are these requests and traffic coming from??????
