NT Server not loading networked drives

By peter.berger@genexsrvcs ·
For some reason my NT 4.0 SP6a server has stopped giving out network drives from login.(ie. when you login "H" maps to \\server\users\username).

Nothing has changed recently other than a new second BDC coming online as a full-time print server.
I made sure that my PDC has replication, RPC and netlogon services running. I am at a loss. Any help would be great...

NT Server not loading networked drives

by djroecher In reply to NT Server not loading net ...

Hi,

if you use a login-script which resides on the PDC for mapping and the user-logon is handeled by the BDC you might run into the described problems if a) the unc to the login-script isnt correct as seen from BDC or b) the login-script resides in the wrong directory of the PDC and is not replicated to the BDC.

path should be \\server\$repl\import\scripts
\\server\$repl\export\scripts

hope that helps.
