NT Server XP clients

By mellon__head ·
Okay at the school i'm at they are running an NT server, on monday we are reciving 8 new PC's, however they are all loaded with XP not 98.

My question is will the profiles and policies that have been set up work with the xp clients. The currnet profiles and policies are running on 98 machines.

Any help would be great, and if it can e done what to do. Cheers.

Here's what I did

I had almost the same senario. I had over 300 WinX running no policies. We use Fortres to lock down. When I got 32 XP's I made a group on the server called XP and did the lock down from there. BE should do all your loading, tweaking and whatever on the XP's BEFORE the lock down. The XP clients need to be in your domain and not the workgroup. After you've loaded programs and tweaked, go to your server and make a new global policy. Good luck.
