1. Move the computer from the domain to a workstation.

2. Remove the computer account from Server Manager.

3. Move the computer from a workgroup back to the domain.

If you are using ghost, there is a program called "Ghostwalker" available. After a workstation is imaged, leave your boot floppy in and reboot. Run ghostwalker and it will change your SID. I'm sure there are a number of other programs out there thatwill do it also.

I've used NewSID on many many computers (NT and Win2K) - works great. One thing you have to be careful about is that it just about doubles the size of your registry, so you need to go to the system properties and make sure that the maximum registrysize is set to at least double the actual size of the registry before running NewSID. Hope this helps!

Remove PC from domain. Join the TEMP or whatever Workgroup. Rejoin the domain and you will receive a new SID. You do not need a SID generator. Make this as easy as possible on yourself. Will require a few re-starts, but is still the easiest option.
