NT4 Client – Service Control Manager

by simon.graham . Updated 23 years, 12 months ago

Hi,

I’ve just setup a machine to go onto our network.
Spec is as follows –

NT4 Workstation client (sp4)
Netware 6 client

Above machines has the following network services installed.

Computer Browser
NetBios Interface
Novell Client for NT
NDPS
Novell Workstation Manager
RPC Configuration
Server
Workstation

Protocols installed are –

TCP/IP
IPX/SPX
NetBIOS

Adaptor used is 3Com Etherlink 10/100 PCI NIC (3C905B-TX)

My problem is that when the PC is booted up, Windows generates a system error – listed in as two errors in Event Viewer. These are as follows…..

“The server service terminated with the following error: Not enough server storage is available to process this command.”

“The Computer Browser service depends on the Server services which failed to start because of the following error: Not enough server storage is available to process this command.”

Now, I can see all of the network with this PC – and it is appearing to operate properly.
Does this relate to actual server space, or is the term server used here a local setting?

Have to admit, I am confused! Any thoughts welcome.

Cheers,
Simon
