NT4 upgrading from single to dual CPU

What needs to be done to upgrade from a single PIII to a dual PIII on a server running NT4 SP6a and Exchange 5.5 Sp3?

Nt will automatically use the multi procesor kernel. You should not have to do anything. But, I would reinstall the sp just to play it safe.

Depends on the manufacturer. Compaq and IBM have a HAL update utility that will update the HAL from UNI to Multi processor kernal. Microsoft has a resource kit utility called UPTOMP that you can use but the vendors utilities are MUCH easier.

The server is a Dell PowerEdge 2300.
