Nt4.0 server Sp6a on Exchange 5.5

We are using Outlook 2000 at work, I have a fire wall setup to nat in Routable IP address, What is the best way to set up on the exchange server so that when I am travel and be able to get e-mail from work, Currently I been forward peoples e-mail to their home address. Is their another way to go about this.
