NTBACKUP Stops Reporting

By Dragon Emperor ·
I have a nightly backup scheduled using NTBackup. Recently it stopped generating Backup reports, but the backups themselves are still running correctly. I have tried clearing the old report files and report log registry entries, but no change.

Which version of NTBackup.exe are you using? And is this for a server with Exchange on it?

You might also want to make sure that nobody relocated the logs to another subdirectory://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;241162

And/or that disk space/speed is not the issue:

It is on a Windows 2000 Advanced Server with SP3 and is fully patched. Exchange is not on the server. It does have SQL Server 7 and IIS, both of which have been being backed up successfully. Active Directory is not in use. The logs are still setto the default location. They are just not being created. The drives all have plenty of free space on them.
