NTFS drive in RAW format

By rmurwin ·
Is there any way to retrieve the data from a NTFS drive if the file table has been accidentally deleted? I deleted the wrong partition while in NT4 setup, but noticed it right away and cancelled without formatting. The data is still there, I just can't get to it. Thanks

I woould start with Norton Utilities... I has some features to recover data from disk drives (I believe even if you formated it). Norton can boot stright from the cd... so there is no need to install the software first. http://www.symantec.com/nu/nu_9x/features.html

hope that helps

You might also try NTFS Pro from www.winternals.com
This has saved my butt many times after hosing an NT machine. Not sure if it will work if the fat is gone though.
Worth a shot.
