i have a system that runs with hot swaps, i recently moved so i had all my hotswaps removed from the PCs. i have 1 40 gig with win xp home on it, and a 80 gig with xp pro (for 2 different Pcs)then i also have 2 seperate 80 gigs i use for storing data. (all 3 80 gig same model and make). i made the mistake of not marking the hotswaps, and i tried a drive in one, and it was the copy of xp pro for the PC i was trying to get started, all was good, then i put in a hot swap which was the other back up, the one i didn’t want, so i shut down and removed it, put in the next hot swap in the stack, it was a fat 32 with win xp home, now thi sis where the havoc stats, i had tried to boot with 2 active partitions, so i shut down, and removed the drive with xp home, and inserted the drive that i knew was the one i was seeking, after wards, win xp see’s the drive as fat 32, added a recycle bin and a file with no extention (file0) active partition recovery see’s it as fat 32 and ntfs now but i cant get windows to see it as ntfs, anyone know how to fix this?
