NTFS can be converted to FAT32 by formatting the NTFS to FAT32 using 98 bootable floppy having format command fdisk first delete the partition and format it to fat32
Yes you can have dual boot of Win98 and Win2K provided you have fat32 file system
win 98 does not support NTFS file system

Go to the Partitian Magic site and do a read on version 5 , it supports converting ntfs to 32 and back , and Win98 as the answer stated does not support NTFS . Do a good read at the PM site, I use the software , and as far as I'm concerned , it's the best by it's variable uses , plus it can operate the action out of Windows if needed.
Luck

go to start run
type mmc
add the disk management snap in
or go to disk management under w2k
make a fat32 partition somewhere
go to your system directory (c:\)
find your boot.ini
you will see something like
multi(x)disk(x)rdisk(x)partition(x)\path to w2k
or
scsi(x)disk(x)rdisk(x)partition blah blah blah
copy that line and and make it point to your fat32 disk and win9x directory
you do not need partition magic or to reconvert
w2k can do that and abag of chips
if you have troublesthe help files are great

Hi

As far as the Microsoft litterature goes, you cannot convert from NTFS back to FAT32
You will have to backup your data and do a complete repartioning of your hard drive with FDISK and then reinstalling first your windows 98 and then your win2000 on the FAT partion. Also don't forget to format your drives after repartioning. You will have to create a boot up disk 1st with fdisk and format commands on it to achieve this
