Hi,
I work on a public pc(config: intel 815 mother board,P-III 800,128 Mb sdram, 20 GB Hard disk with 3 partitions.) on which win 98 was installed along with the drivers for printers, scanner and cd writer. Some body in our lab, installed win 2k over it (in the other partition. Now every file is on D: and whatever is on c: is not working. So, what I formatted c:\ since all the files are on D:\. Then the system started looking for ntldr on c. Since it is not there,it stopped booting. All my files areon D. How can I make it boot from d:\.By the way, where exactly ntldr will be.I know for nt, it will be in root directory c.Since, win2k is installed on D, I thought it can boot from D rather than from c:.Now what I have to do to boot win2k as usual? Can i copy ntldr from some other win2k comp and run it?If I can, then How can I copy it from the other win2k comps
