What is the best possible way to replace NTloader. I have a machine that does not boot up because of Ntloader.

Need more info, but I would say visit http:\\winternals.com and get a copy of NTFS for DOS (assuming that the partition is NTFS) copy NTloader from another machine use NTFSDOS to copy file over. You could also just take the hard drive out and make it a slave to a machine that is working, and copy the file over that way too.

NTLoader is the core of what boots up NT. You have the option of re-installing either one of 2 ways: On TOP OF the current OS, replacing only corrupt files, with the "repair" option, OR ...installing a second copy of NT on the same partition, and booting up that way...It'll work, had a similar problem - just be careful when using the "repair" option, and make sure you've exhausted all other avenues of possible repair. Info?...email me...I can answer your ? live too.

The easiest way to fix the problem is to reboot the machine with the original boot floppies.
When you are prompted, choose Repair and then you will be asked for the Emergency Repair Disk. Use this and follow the promts and all will be well.. This assumes that you created an ERD of course.....

Best of Luck.
