NTUSER.DAT profile permission

By yctan71 ·
i'm going to migrate my user from 1 domain to another domain, i want to keep the user profile.
i'm using the script to migrate the user, but i need to manually use regedt32 to add in the new domain user id to the ntuser.dat security permission. Dosomebody know any utility tool (command line) to use in script to change the permission of ntuser.dat.

ntuser.dat is a flat file, loaded into hkcu as part of the logon process. As a file, you can alter it's security simply by right clicking on it, and selecting properties. You will find it at the root of the users profile....

NTUSER.DAT profile permission

Hi, BeerMonster,
Thanks for your info, but i'm refering to the security permission that permitted to use the particular profile (which only can set through regedt32 after load the ntuser.dat as a hive). Since i'm going to migrate 1500 users, i don't want to manually change the permission for the profile for each user by using regedt32. Thus, i prefer to use command line tool for my migration script.
