Nvidia GeForce4 Ti 4600 with DVI and TV-

By EAbel1 ·
I am looking at specs for the Nvidia card listed above and it states 128MB DDR. Does that mean that the video card has a dedicated 128MB DDR Ram on it?

Video cards have built in memory. Ti 4600 have 128MB DDR. That means it can recieve and send pictures to your monitor at a very fast pace. Specially if you are a video game addict. This is a very powerful video card. I don't think you wanna use this on a P4 1.5 GHZ. You need to have higher specs, just a precausion.

Yes. That is the current top of the line nvidia card for gamers, ATI has a new line out as well the 9700's and if you check its' ratings are higher still than the nvidia. I picked up an ATI 9000pro for $88 from newegg.com. It ranks at about 80% throughput of the ti 4600. Another thing to note is my motherboard actually is more limitting to the speed for agp than the card.
I have an ak75 something from dfi which support amd cpu's up to 1.4 gigahertz. So be careful you aren't buying more card than your system can handle. But hey thats the fun of upgrading, you can continue to improve the system indefinitely.
Have fun.
