NW5.1 & DBC10 files left open can’t disc

Using NW 5.1 with a DBC10 program. Files won’t close. The only way to get them to close is down the server. Server will lock up if you try to disconnect the user that had files open. Files become corrupt if not closed. Anyone else having these problem?
