OBJECT MOVED????!!

By vivek ·
Object Moved is the error message I get everytime I enter our database servers.

WHY????!!!

I have pulled up lots of notes on this issue from Technet, which all talk about upgrading IE from 4.0 to 4.01SP2 or IE5.0.

Well we are using IE5.0 on all workstations.
This error message disappears as soon as the http1.1 settings are checked off in the advanced on the IE browsers.

Can any one help. You guys can test it at our demo site at http://www.webdocument.com

Thanks a lot....

Well I don't Know if this will help alot but when the http 1.1 settings are on, the variables that are returned are different for instance:
when they are on:::
HTTP_ACCEPT (returns) */* Also cookies are enables and a bunch of other things.

When they are off:::
HTTP_ACCEPT (returns) image/gif, image/x-xbitmap, image/jpeg, image/pjpeg, application/vnd.ms-powerpoint, application/vnd.ms-excel, application/msword, */*

goto
http://www.gotoss.com/variables.asp
check with http 1.1 on and off

also you are cheaking for
isIE4 = (navigator.appName == "Microsoft Internet Explorer")

instead check for <%=bc.Browser %> == "IE" gives you their browser
and <%=bc.Version %> => "4.0" returns their version.

Give it a try it seems to screw up on the variables it is returning.

Sorry, one more:
Have you checked the OBDC version you are running (e.g. Access 97 vs Access 2K)?
