OEM USB 2.0 preinstall

By nokturnal ·
I'm creating an OPK image and want to have USB 2.0 drivers installed with out needing the end user to interact. I will be using multiple Intel MBs and Sysprep reseal to final.
I am not sure if I can put the drivers in PNP drivers directory or will I need to run the .exe in OemRunOnce. If the later then I need to run the .exe in silent mode.

Any thoughts Please--

If your OPK includes Service Pack 1, the driver is already included. Otherwise, slipstream Service Pack 1 into your OPK.

Yeah - guess I should have looked this one up on MS KB. It does not help to just look in the OEM area..

I386\$OEM$\$1\drivers file. This folder includes PnP drivers and support files, as well as other drivers not found with Windows and are copied to the %systemdrive%\drivers folder on the target. Add the OEMPnPDriversPath to the answer file will tell Windows where to look.

damn correction should read I386\$OEM\$1\drivers "folder" not file.

This is true, but that is also the problem. The install .exe does not extract the install files only. They do, but I can not control where, just the files.
I guessed by going into the drivers folder on an running system but they would not install in this matter. Maybe I did something wrong <-- not that I do.... ever..... ha.
