Office 2000 installation

By paulan ·
After installing Office 2000 I receive a "windows Protection error" message and can only boot up in "safemode".
The system only has 32mb of extended RAM could this be the problem?

All my systems with 64mb of extended RAM work just fine.....Any answers.

Yes this message is a warning that 32m is okay but to run Office 2000 efficiently ti is suggested 64m,this is due in part to 32 bit drivers being at the core.

I had the same problem at work. When I put in a 64 meg ram chip it works fine. If you can though, put in 128 megs of ram. It's cheap and you will see better performance in Office 2000. Office 2000 is a memory hog. Good Luck!
