Office 2000 upgrade

By adelia.demelo ·
Hello everyone,
I'm currently the project leader for the Office 2000 roll out for may company.
We have about 600 users, 100 in RI and the rest in Boston. We still have some business critical Access 2.0 databases. Everyone is currently using Office 97. I'm planing to do the rollout through SMS. Has any of you done this and what problems did you confront.

Thank you

Test it with a few users at a time.
If you are running NT, have the users log off thier machines instead of shutting them down.

Hope this helps.

Just last week we did the same issue at my job!!! We needed to keep Access 97 while upgrading to Office 2000. . In order for this to work you must make sure that ACCESS 2000 IS NOT TO INTSALLED. If this is done then you will have problems with Access 97!!!
You will not be able to Access your database because Access 2000 will take over and it can not read 97.
If you make an error and intsall all of Office 2000 then you will have remove it as well as Access 97 and reinstall Access 97 first then Office 2000.
