When I open an excel doc in office 2007 it runs a virus scan for about 5 minutes before it will open a document. Same for word. I have uninstalled sysmantec virus protection and have lowered escurity settings in macros. Nothing seems to help. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have several IBM models, new from the factory that I am experiencing this problem with.
