Office xp on Windows 2000 problem

By dave_mc ·
When I install office XP on windows 2000 SP3 with all internet updates excluding internet explorer 6 service pk, I get the following errors once installed. "Microsoft Outlook has not been installed for the current user". This happens no matter who Iinstall or run it under. I am also a domain administrator. This also happens on Excel.

have you tried logging on to the local machine as admin? or give the user admin rights and install it that way?? i noticed you said "no matter who i install or run it under." try loggin on locally instead of logging on to the domain.
