Office97 default file locations in NT4

By chris.langley1@btopenwrld ·
Can anybody please help me with how to set the default file locations for Access, Excel, Powerpoint and Word in Office97 running under NT4, for every user on the workstation ?

I was hoping that a registry entry would be the answer, as by default Office97 sets the paths to C:\WINNT\profiles\etc....
and it needs to be set to R for all the apps and for all users on this PC. It is intended to GHOST this PC and use this image for subsequent new PC's. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Chris Langley

Office97 default file locations in NT4

Hi
One way to accomplish this is to use a domain policy. Download the .adm templates from Microsoft (ZAK & Office, I can e-mail these to you) and set the default file location for data files in there.

While this solution would work the company does not want to implement additional domain policies, so we had to hack the registry until 3 out of 4 apps were pointing to the req'd drive for all users, and settle for that.
Thanks go to Radu for assisting.
