Hi all,
Client with WinXP on a laptop in a peer-peer network. Using another WinXP machine as a “file server”. The client access files/folders on the server and has set up Offline Folders so that he can synchronize and take his laptop on the road.
All had been running fine. The files synchronized and he was able to disconnect from the network and have access to his files.
Recently though, when he takes his laptop off the network, and tries to access any one of the MS Word files, it takes about 3 minutes to open up the file. During those 3 minutes, the machine is essentially hung up. Can’t do anything. Once the first file is opened, all the others open up immediately and there is no wait.
On the next reboot, the same thing happens. It takes forever to open up the first file and then it works normally.
Any ideas on why this would be?
thank you
Nate
