Offline Files

By Ahowley ·
At work, we had to change the users home directory. The users had offline files setup on the old directory so that they could sinc their files with laptop.

Ever since we changed the home directory name, the users can't use offline files. I followed all the procedures to create a new offline setup. The new server appears, but the old server appears too, and still tries to sync with the old server. Is there a way to delete to old server name so that the pc does not sync with this one?
Thanks.

Offline Files

You didn't mention what operating system you were using. Is the old server still physically there? If not or if you just changed the name of the name, you should be able to go to your network places and delete the old name - right click on it and hitdelete. I personally don't sync my files, therefore not exactly sure what you have there. In setting up the new offline files, in the setup does it give you a place to enter the name of the directory you are going to sync or use as offline files?
