Offline Folders

By krweston73 ·
I have a user setup up on a laptop (Win2k,Outlook 2k). The computer was setup up to allow offline access to exchange folder when he traveled. Recently I had moved the mailbox over to the new Exchange 2000 server and now the offline functions no longer work.
I have deleted the profile and set it up again and selecting yes to "do you travel with this computer" which is all I had done before to make it work. Now when I open outlook in an offline status I get "do you want to open the default folders" basically local hard drive folders.

I am still in the middle of the Exchange 2k upgrade. All mailboxes are on the new server but The exchange 5.5 computer is still online and processing the email.
Any ideas?????

You need to recreate a new OST from the mail account on the server.

The OST, Outlook Profile and the Mail account on the server are all tied together with a security identifier. If this identifier is broken (via recreating a profile) then the OST is useless. You will need to start from scratch.
