I do understand the need, but it has become quite obvious that technology is changing faster than the enterprise can keep up. On the other hand, you might want to look into Microsoft's new "Surface" tablets as they may include better compatibility with your existing network rules. At the same time, it is quite obvious that Apple is also working towards making network compatibility (and security) easier, so don't count Apple out yet. I also believe that between Microsoft and Apple, Android is going to begin a sharp fall within the next two years to the point that the mobile environment and the PC environment will effectively mirror one another.

as only a very small percentage of the enterprise workers need mobile capability while so many more need quick and easy to use desktop capability that the mobile touch screen systems do NOT provide due to the inherent design differences and user requirements
