OK to turn off system message

By hawgfan ·
I have an application where when I shutdown SP Pro I need the PC to stop on the "It's now ok to turn off system" screen without automatically turning the system off. I get this until I load the driver for the onboard video (latest driver) but after that, the system shuts off without stopping on this message. I have tried BIOS settings. Any ideas?

Yes, I had this occur before what it relates to is the hidden VGA driver that you will find by going to Device Manager>View>Show Hidden devices. When you do this will have a new entry in your normal list..

Look for the entry Non Plug and Play drivers..

Your going to have one of two things..

A VGA hidden device that will state can't start or something like this.

Second this will be a simple entry for VGA that appears working..

Either case uninstall it and reboot. Once you restart typically you are ok, but you may have to go in and "enable the device"

This happened to me only a month or so ago and it seems to work everytime. Although it doesn't come up everyday, each system will be different..
