Recently, I have involved in a research regarding OLAP technology in my local region.
From the articles or advertisement posses by the OLAP solution providers, we can know that the powerful of OLAP system can bring to thebusiness industry, especially for decision making purposes, give timely, efficient report and etc. I also understand that it is very costly to implementing an OLAP system and time consuming, inflexible to deploy
Why can’t a traditional scientificand analysis software cope with this requirement?
Is OLAP is practical and essential solution to Data Warehousing Architecture in the future even though cost is the main issue?
