Old disk in new system.

Now here’s a good one.
How many of you out there have ever wanted to put the Hard drive from your old system into your new system as a second drive?

Now I’m not just talking about using it for extra space… that’s easy. What I’m trying to do is leave all the original data intact and accessible to the new system.

I have tried everything I can think of but have been unable to get the new system to assign a drive letter to the old disk.

Disk manager can see the second drive and even the fat16 partition on it, but the “change drive letter and path” option is grayed out.

The new system is XP and the old disk is 98.
I’ve looked every where I can find on the net for info on the HEL with no luck.
Have any of you managed this?
And if so how????

Cheers….. Keith.

PS my expertise is in UNIX (Solaris) where this kind of thing is straight forward.
