old drive

by opieed12 . Updated 24 years, 3 months ago

I am Still not able to get my computer to read the partitions d and e drive of my 12 gig hard drive. Both 98 and xp are fat 32. On the boot menu, xp is the default, but I have to use 98 to use my computer. When it boots on xp, I get the answer:
Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem. Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk hardware.

Please advise is how to check above so that I can put the information from the old drive into the 100 gig drive.
