I recently installed a piece of shareware on my NT4 box and it screwed up my machine. I receive the following error message for each program I attempt to start or is started by my Startup.
“The system dll ole32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not
run properly. The relocation occured because the DLL Dynamically Allocated
Memory occupied an address range allocated for Windows NT system dll’s. The
vendor supplying the dll should be contacted for a new dll.”
I don’t see a desktop because Explorer.exe won’t even open. I have of course rebooted my machine, and attempted to start applications from the Run dialog box. I also reinstalled SP6a though I received the same errors while doing so.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
