Error message generated when a refurbished system board is put into Omnibook 900B running Windows 2000 or XP:
“Hardware Malfunction Call your hardware vendor for support NMI: Channel Check/OCHK ***The system has halted***”
HP is aware and doing nothing, they say they will have to re-engineer the onboard memory and the system is no longer under warranty nor is the system board being manufactured any longer.
Have any gurus out there found a work around?
I am trying to work something outwith HP (we have lots of these we still support)in the meantime I wanted to throw this out to you guys.
