On board sound card won’t work

I have a K7S5A motherboard by the Elite Group that has an on board sound card it uses the Sis 7012 PCI Audio Driver. Ever since I upgraded to XP PRO I can’t get the sound card to install. Everytime I go to install it the driver starts installing then the hardware install program tells me there was an error installing and it stops installing it. I have tried using the drivers on XP for it and I have also went out to the motherboard site and got the updated driver and still nothing. What’s weard is that the system does pick up that driver as the correct one but it still won’t install. I even updated to SP1 for XP to see if that took care of it, because I thought I saw something out on the Microsoft Knowledgebase saying this would correct the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Mike
