One issue for me and looking for HELP….
Currently We have one Cisco261xm and Pix506e.
Design
——–
ISp — Pix — Router —Switch—Nodes
Isp is providing net through cat5(Rj45-Ethernet)so directly connectd to pix and pix is onnected to Router Eth0 and eth1 is connected to LAN.
Configs
——-
Pix -Outside x.x.x.x 255.255.255.252
Inside 172.16.1.1 255.255.255.252
Router -eth0 172.16.1.2
-eth1 192.16.1.1 255.255.255.0
One site to site VPN is running in Pix and NAT is enabled, for mail,ftp servers inside the LAN.
Now If i want to get one more ISP for redundant purpose,which input is better (CAt5 or Smart Serial), and how should be the design and configs in both pix and router,we can add a ethernet module for router. Any one can help please…….
