Open a PDF file from Access

By dennisbv ·
I am creating a Database of adobe pdf files and I want to be able to open the file from access. I want to have a form that opens up the person enters in thier criteria for the search, Then a new form opens with thier search results. I want a button on this form that will say "Display Gram" when it is clicked Adobe will open the file with the focus. How do I create the hyperlink and assign it to the button?

I usually create a macro with the RunApp action to open a file in another application. I then make a command box on my form that executes this macro. If you need more specifics on this, go to this microsoft link: http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q109/7/05.asp?LN=EN-US&SD=gn&FR=0&qry=RunApp&rnk=2&src=DHCS_MSPSS_gn_SRCH&SPR=ACC97

Good luck!
