Open Access on Laptop

By augustbaby43 ·
I was recently a victim of a hacker who opened up his own wireless access point on my laptop. Investigating law authorities want me to leave this on my laptop as evidence. Does this make me vulnerable to other hackers, or should I remove it entirely?

Generally speaking NB's do not get attacked in this manner as they are fairly passive when it comes to WiFi attacks. Without knowing more I can not answer your question.

I find it unlikely they would allow you to continue to use the laptop at all if it has anything on it that would be concidered evidence.

Just the fact that you would continue to use it puts this in jepordy unless it is only to try to track down the alledged hacker by THEM montoring the activity.

If the cops tell you to do something, it would be considered very unintellegent to do otherwise. Just get any of your personal information off the they system and change all passwords to online accounts.
