Open File Manager causes server lock

By highlander718 ·
It happens once in a while that our 2000 server suddenly stop responding. After reboot the log says that OMF generated the following error : "Volume C: is out of preview data storage space. (...)"

I see that drive C has more than 3Gb free, true that a while ago, when this occured the first time, we got paged that the server is out of space on drive C. By the time we looked (2,3 min.) there was nothing wrong.

I found on this board that some reccomend to uninstall OMF (apparently installed by Veritas backup). Is that right ? How do one do that ?

How about posting the entire error from the Event Viewer?

Event ID : 9

Open File Manager V8.10 B101b: Volume C: is out of preview data storage space. Some files that have already synced may fail, resulting in backup errors. Please make more disk space available for preview data.
