Open ports in ISA 2004

By mg_roberts ·
Our software requires our clients to have port 1935 open. I have two clients that use ISA 2004, neither of them can connect to our software.

What steps need to be taken to ensure that a port is wide open on ISA 2004?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is the guide that you will most likely need:

Admin FAQ's are located at http://www.microsoft.com/isaserver/techinfo/Guidance/2004/configuration.mspx

No documentation

by mg_roberts In reply to ISA Guides

Those guides have a lot of useful information... but there is no documentation on opening ports. It's such a common thing to open ports on a firewall I can't believe there is no documentation on how to open ports in ISA.

not helpful

I hate this sort of reply. There are hundreds of manuals and thousands of articles. The one you mention doesn't even talk about opening ports except as an incidental mention.

If someone were to ask, "What is the definition of word 'zyxxxx'?" what is the point of telling them to go to the dictionary? If you don't know, don't answer.
